Sonia joined Virgin Law Group as a paralegal practicum student and had the privilege of learning from senior paralegals at the firm, working in both family law and insurance defence matters.

Sonia supports the management of complex insurance defence files and enjoys the challenge of handling those involving multiple actions and parties. She takes complex cases and creates efficiently run files in which no stone is left unturned.

Sonia has experience in all aspects of file progression: preparing chronologies, reviewing and summarizing expert reports, and drafting applications and consent orders. She also conducts a variety of legal research, from quantum assessments in preparation for mediation, to family law issues regarding property.

Sonia completed the Paralegal Diploma Program at Capilano University where she was awarded the Notary Foundation of BC Scholarship for Academic Excellence by the Legal Studies faculty in the Spring of 2023.

In her spare time, Sonia enjoys long walks with her dog, taking dance classes, and reading a good fantasy book.
