Marc was called to the bar after articling with a leading criminal defence and civil litigation boutique in Vancouver. From there, he practiced with a select number of firms in BC, specializing in all aspects of civil litigation, along with some criminal defence and agented prosecutions earlier in his career. He joined Virgin Hickman (now Virgin Law Group) as associate counsel in 2020.

A highly experienced litigator, Marc has conducted a broad variety of chambers, trial and appellate work at all levels of court in BC, including both criminal and civil jury trials, as well as appearances in the Federal Court of Canada. He has represented both plaintiff and defence in major loss personal injury files and was also a civil Federal Government Agent for several years, representing such diverse entities as Revenue Canada (as it then was), the RCMP, and Parks Canada. Marc is also a skilled negotiator and has participated in many successful mediations. He is in his most natural element in the courtroom.

Marc is a long-term member of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Throughout his career, in addition to pro bono work, he has mentored other lawyers, with an emphasis on preparing them for the rigours of both trial and appellate work.

When not busy practicing law, Marc enjoys worldwide travel with his wife, skiing, hiking, diving, and holds a black belt in karate.
